At first, there was nothing. But a being came from a far away place, and created Balathassar, Queen of the Gods. It then created the rest of the Gods. Balathassar then created Halverd.
At first, there were only two humanoid races; the pre-Elves, and the pre-Dwarves. They ere not quite Dwarves and Elves yet, but they were close. They lived above ground, in cities created by the Archons (NOTE: NOT the Archon monster from 3.5. Archons are like demigods.). After a hundred years of peace (“The Great Peace”), The races had a conferences; there were the newly born races of Gnomes (Dwarves and Nymphs), and Halflings (Gnomes and Elves), the Dwarf King (at that time, the most powerful Stonelord) kidnapped and raped the Queen-to-be of the Elves, birthing the first Orc. When the Elves saw the abhorrent creature burst fully formed into adulthood from their Royal Heir, killing her, they declared war on the Dwarves.
The War lasted fifty years, until the Dwarves captured the Orc Progenitor (of the “Jheeti” orc race, the immortal, more powerful kind.) and tried to kill it. The Orc revealed it had Stonelord powers as well as Elven treespeaking magic, and literally decimated Kharn (the Dwarven Capitol.). The Elves enacted a cease-fire, but the war never officially ended. The Orc escaped, and sailed away to a different continent on the Dwarves prized ship, the Oberon.
The Expansion Period refers to the Period in Which the Civilizations moved off the Origin Continent, and to other landmasses/ habitable formations, Like the Spinwing Archipelago.
